Turkish Tiles
In Istanbul you can find an incredible range of tile art. The interior of the Sultanahmet Camii/Blue Mosque has tens of thousands of tiles of great beauty. Similarly, throughout the Topkapi Palace in same area of Istanbul, tiles were also used extensively. The sections of tiled walls shown here are ones we found in the Topkapi Palace as well as Selchuk.
Long time traditional film photographer, now fully converted to digital. But I still have a fondness for the old film world. The older images are from traditional paper (silver-based) prints made from various types of black and white film (but typically, Tri-X, TMax100, Tmax400, Ilford Delta). More recent images are digital conversions to Black and Wite/monochrome. Click on an image to see it in LARGE size.
