Patterns and Textures

The first image is of the windows above the storefronts in downtown Dundas, Ontario.

The second is a section of a Burlington Street vegetable oil processing plant along the Bay in Hamilton, Ontario.

The third and fourth are details of walls in a back alley in Huntsville, Ontario.

The fifth is a somewhat contradictory product name of a now long-gone local brand of soft drink. Found on a wall in very small village named Sprucedale, Ontario, northwest of Huntsville.

The sixth is a detail of a door handle on a closed general store in Sprucedale, Ontario.

Exotic Paint Jobs

Some car owners get very creative with paint patterns. Here are a couple of examples.

...and Black Cars Too (With Logos)

Personally I find black cars a paint to keep clean. But, when they are clean, my they look fabulous. Like a sheet metal tuxedo - almost. Just keep the duster handy.

The first one is a early fifties Mercury. The second and third are of a late sixties Chevy Nova SS396. The fourth is of a forties Dodge. The fifth is a Jaguar. The sixth and seventh I simply can't recall (a senior moment?)

... and Green Cars (and Logos)

Continuing the theme of car elements by colour, today the colour is green.

I am not sure of the make of the first two images.
The third and fourth are of a mid-fifties Mercury Monarch.

The last three are from an mid fifties Cadillac.

White Cars (And Emblems)

Today, white Detroit flowers. All are classics of the ere when gasoline was cheap and pollution was something in Los Angeles.

While Waiting For Spring- Some Blue Detroit Flowers

Spring is being postponed again here. There is more snow in the forecast but this will come down as slop - neither rain nor snow - just messy. So in the meantime, here are some Detroit flowers: old cars lovingly restored and/or customized from a cruise night last summer here in Grimsby.

The first five are of Fords. The last two are of a Durant.

And the theme within the theme today is "blue".
